Day 1: Trf In at San Juan airport or Bus terminal. Accommodation at selected hotel. Grand City Tour, City and surrounding areas: Juan Victoria Concert hall, Sarmiento’s birthplace, Cathedral, Ullum Dam.
Day 2: Breakfast. Departure along Route 40 towards North. Tour around San José de Jáchal, which is known as the ‘Land of Tradition’. Visit to Los Cauquenes Dam. Later, sightseeing along Huaco Slope, a landscape of unmatched natural beauty. Molino de Huaco (Huaco Flour Mill). Visit to Ischigualasto Provincial Park. Accommodation in Villa Unión.
Day 3: Breakfast. Visit to Talampaya National Park. In the afternoon, we pick up again Route 40 to enjoy the picturesque Miranda Slope, where reddish tectonic plates at 90º can be observed on the way to Chilecito. Accommodation at selected hotel. Note: if Miranda Slope is not operational, we will pick up an alternative route through Patquia.
Day 4: Breakfast. City Tour in Chilecito. Visit to the Historic Mining Museum. We will also visit PhD Joaquin V. Gonzalez’ old summer residence, called Samay Huasi. Visit to Cristo del Portezuelo. After lunch, departure along Route 40 through Famatina, San Blas de Los Sauces, Londres (Catamarca province). Visit to Incan Ruins ‘El Shincal’. Later, we will continue travelling to Belén, land of walnuts and knitters. Night in Belén.
Day 5: Breakfast. Departure to Santa María, Amaicha del Valle (Tucuman province), visit to the Pacha Mama Museum. Quilmes Ruins. Transfer to Cafayate. End of services.
Admission tickets to Parks: Ischigualasto: $ 600 . In Talampaya: national visitors $ 200 and foreign visitors $ 400. Pick up within Talampaya: $1600 (Circuit Nº 1 Talampaya Canyon), and 4x4 Adventure Safari $2130. These fares may vary.
